Anna Kennedy became a member of the MISS Foundation in 1997 after the death of her son, Jared Michael. In 2000, she became a certified MISS Foundation grief support group facilitator. Because it is Anna’s belief that no one need walk this path alone, she is committed to supporting families through the tragic loss of a child. It is through her dedication to the bereaved parents of the foundation that she has become the Chair of the Bereaved Parents Advisory Board. Anna is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work to further her understanding of grief in order to be more effective in her work.

In her personal life, Anna is the single mother of her two living children, Caleb and Lauren. As a student of truth and of life, she is in a perpetual state of learning. Anna also enjoys reading, movies, music and lively discussions and debates.
