Compassionate Bereavement Care Certification-Yoga® (CBC-Y) Application

CBC-Y participants will do online training for 30 hours (dates below) and then arrive at the Carefarm on Wednesday 10/14 at the same time as the Yoga Retreat for Grievers participants and share the entire retreat. They will depart the day after retreat participants on Sunday 10/18 at noon.

Hybrid Course 2026

This hybrid course includes both in-person and online components including 30 hours of live online training and 30 hours of in-person experiential and instructional training at the Selah Carefarm during participation in the Selah
Griever’s Yoga Retreat.

During the retreat portion of the training, CBC-Y® trainees will interact with, learn, and participate alongside grieving participants attending the retreat. All hours of training, including all associated projects and assigments, both online and in person, are required in order to receive the CBC-Y® certificate.

The online portion of the training for 2026 is scheduled for 4 consecutive weeks, meeting via Zoom, prior to the in-person retreat portion of the program. The private Zoom link will be shared with participants prior to the first online meeting.

The 2026 CBC-Y® schedule is as follows:
Wed. 09/23 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (EST) 30 min break (3 training hours)
Sat. 09/26 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST) 1 hour break (6 training hours)
Wed. 09/30 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (EST) 30 min break (3 training hours)
Sat. 10/03 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST) 1 hour break (6 training hours)
Wed. 10/07 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (EST) 30 min break (3 training hours)
Sat. 10/10 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST) 1 hour break (6 training hours)
Post retreat session: 3 hours (date TBD)
7.5 training hours weekly = 30 hours total online training

Wednesday October 14, arrival at Carefarm, check-in 3:00-5:00 p.m. local time;
departure on Sunday, October 18, 12:00 p.m.

The in-person portion of the training is held at the Selah Carefarm in Cornville AZ,
near Sedona and is a required portion of this program.
