Shelagh is a gorgeous goat that came to us with her sister Mary Lee. The girls belonged to a neighbor to the Carefarm that rescued them. When he would leave for work Shelagh and Mary Lee would cry endlessly which we could hear at the Carefarm. Their daily cries tugged at our heart strings.
The neighbor agreed to bring them over for a trial visit to see if being with the other goats at the Carefarm would help with their loneliness. The girls immediately calmed down and no longer cried after they integrated into herd life. We all agreed that this would be their forever home.
Shelagh and Mary Lee always stuck together and have a very strong sisterly bond while still staying close to the rest of the herd. They’ve come to love affection and visiting with all the humans who come to the CareFarm.
