2022 Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity Drew King Fundraiser

Drew’s Fraternity brothers raised over $7700 in scholarships in there 2022 golf fundraising event.

This scholarship is a fundraising effort by the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity at the University of Missouri. They have chosen the MISS Foundation/Selah Carefarm as the recipient of their charitable donation to support bereaved siblings. This is an ongoing scholarship. Your contribution makes a difference. The MISS Foundation is very grateful for the support of the family, friends and fraternity brothers of Drew King for this fundraising effort.

From the family of Drew King:

“Drew was a 21 year old born and raised in a small town in Southeast Missouri. He was a junior at The University of Missouri and was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.   Drew lived his life to the fullest.  He was a tall, blonde-haired handsome athlete who loved to golf, play basketball, bowl, hunt and hang out with his friends and family.  At 13, Drew survived a tragic UTV accident driven by a friend that took his only brother Parker’s  life at the age of 10.  Drew was resilient and used that event to gain compassion and dreamed of being a nurse one day soon.  He welcomed a rainbow baby sister, LenaMae, when he was 15 and was the light of her life.  Drew was fearless and full of joy, his distinct laugh will be forever missed. ”

From the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity regarding their Signature Event:

“Each year, ATΩ chapters across the nation hold a Signature Event. This is an annual Philanthropy event, where the chapters donate to the same organization each year. At the Gamma Rho Chapter at Mizzou, we are completely revamping our Signature Event. We have planned a golf tournament for active ATΩ members and alumni in order to raise money for the MISS Foundation. We have over 100 members and alumni signed up to play in this first annual Signature Event Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament will be held at LA Nickell Golf Course in Columbia. It will include fun competitions such as longest drive, closest to the pin, farthest putt, and a chance to win $10,000 if a hole in one is made. We will also be auctioning off tickets for the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals. The goal of this event is not only to raise money, but also to remember our Brothers who have passed away before their time. We hope to come together and cherish the lives of each and every soul we have lost along the way.”
