I work as a pediatric float medical social worker at Kaiser Oakland and cover the pediatric intensive care unit, the general pediatrics floor, the neonatal intensive care unit and the maternity unit. My main role is to provide support and/or resources to the families who are facing the crisis of having their child hospitalized. We provide support to families who are facing the death of their child at the hospital.
