Amanda McGough, PhD
I have the true pleasure of loving my job! I believe therapy can be an important tool used to help us live the life we want, to find balance and to grow as a person. I enjoy being able to partner with clients and families to help them reach their goals and find a life that they find satisfying and fulfilling. My approach is strengths-based, straight-forward, supportive, and nonjudgmental. Through my training in CBT and DBT, I work to help children, adolescents, adults, and families better understand themselves, change challenging patterns, and develop healthy ways of managing difficulties and distress so they can learn to cope and carry them well. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, grief after suicide loss, suicide prevention, and family therapy.
