I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25+ years experience currently working as the Children’s Bereavement Coordinator and Camp Good Grief Director at the East End Hospice Zinberg Family Bereavement Center. Services for children, teens and adults include individual, family and group counseling with general loss, specific loss and equine therapy programs. We offer training in grief and bereavement therapy to students, counselors, educators, therapists and health professionals, and importantly, offer bereavement programs to church, civic and community organizations.
At Camp Good Grief our mission is to bring children and teens who are grieving together in a caring and supportive environment. We want to help kids acquire the language needed to express the confusing feelings associated with grief and bereavement as they begin the ongoing process of integrating their loss into everyday life. Another key component of camp is including programming for parents and guardians so that they can process their own grief while also being supported in how to best assist their grieving children.
I am also a certified yoga teacher for adults and children and can incorporate yoga and other body work modalities when working with clients.
I have a part time practice as well.
