Dr. Jelena King

I am a clinical psychologist at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Hamilton which is an academic-teaching hospital affiliated with McMaster University, where I also hold a full-time academic appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences. Within our hospital system, I am a psychologist in the Schizophrenia & Community Integration Service, which is part of a broader mental health and addictions program that provides adult/senior specialty in-and out-patient mental health services. Within the context of my work at the hospital (and throughout my clinical training) I have spent the majority of my clinical career working with individuals who have struggled with severe mental illness secondary to challenging life circumstances, many of whom are also presenting with complex trauma and significant losses. In addition to my work at the hospital, I am also part of a team of psychologists working in a practice located in Burlington, Ontario (Storrie, Velikonja & Associates).
