I am a Family Resources Coordinator at Northwest Center, an Early Intervention Birth-to-Three organization in Seattle. Early Intervention provides parent coaching in a natural environment (typically their home) to parents of children up to the age of three who have a developmental delay or diagnosis. In partnership with an SLP, I co-lead a specialty program called Hospital-to-Home, which provides services to families with babies (birth to 6 months) who have had an extended hospital stay due to prematurity, diagnosis, birth trauma, etc. and are now transitioning home. I am also helping to develop Parent Support Groups (based on the Group Peer Support model) for families within Hospital-to-Home as well as families who have a child between the ages of birth to three who have special needs.
