Suzzanne Schmidt, MSW, LCSW, ACHP-SW currently serves as the palliative care social worker and parent support/ bereavement counselor for SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to working in the pediatric healthcare setting, Suzzanne served the adult population for 15 years as a hospice social worker and bereavement counselor. Suzzanne holds advanced certification in hospice and palliative care social work and is certified as an Adult mental Health First Aid Responder. Suzzanne’s area of expertise involves working with patients and families that are experiencing current struggles or loss of a loved one related to chronic, complex or life limiting illness.
