I became aware of the MISS Foundation shortly after my son, Patrick, died in 2011. I enjoyed meeting Dr. Jo in Colorado at a book signing shortly after Bearing the Unbearable was published. I became aware of the Selah Carefarm through one of my friends and had the opportunity to visit there in May, 2023. It was an amazing experience and it rekindled my interest in the work of the MISS Foundation. In conversation with a couple of the counselors at the carefarm, they suggested that I consider becoming a mentor. I have recently completed the training and am ready to start this new adventure as a MISS Foundation mentor.
