Somatic Movement and Sound Therapy Retreat (SM/ST) at the Selah Carefarm for Grievers

Wed, Oct. 9 (afternoon arrival) to noon Sunday, Oct. 13

somatic-movement-sound-therapy-retreat copySM and ST have been shown to help people cope with, and integrate, traumatic grief by acting on the nervous system. Somatic movement, which includes yoga asanas, silent walking/hiking, tai chi, connecting with animals and nature, and breathwork can help release tension and stress being held in the body. Sound is the waveform energy powering the trillions of cells in the body. The therapeutic value comes when the brain and body respond to sound by synchronizing with it, which helps calm the nervous system and the fear response and helps to ease physiological stress. Join Jodi and Tiana for this compassionate 4-day retreat at the Selah Carefarm (Weds-Sunday) that will help those experiencing grief by utilizing Sound Therapy, different forms of Somatic Movement, breath techniques, and mindfulness. This retreat will focus on connection to mind/body/spirit, expression of emotions, connecting with nature and animals, and mindfulness.
